BioImagene has launched the iSlide, an input device that allows pathologists to use a microscope-like interface to manipulate digital images of slides.
Pathologists using the iSlide can move a glass slide in the same way they would on a microscope stage, to ergonomically view digital images of slides on a computer monitor.
The iSlide is designed to provide a superior alternative to using a conventional mouse, to navigate digital images of slides.
It integrates a microscope stage, a full-size keyboard, wireless mouse, speakers and a microphone in a unified input device.
The iSlide and the suite of BioImagene's end-to-end digital pathology solutions can be viewed at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) Annual Meeting 2010, on 22-24 March 2010.
The conference will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington DC.
