YMC Europe has introduced YMC Triart for C8 and C18 preparative scale materials.
With a balance between hydrophobicity and silanol activity, the multilayered hybrid particle performs similar to standard ODC or C8 materials.
At the same time, it is stable at high pH, even at elevated temperatures.
This widens the applicable pH range for the mobile phase usable and increases the durability of the material during cleaning-in-place (CIP) cycles.
Owing to the selectivity being very similar to existing ODS and C8 phases, it can be possible to substitute current material in existing processes with only little adaption of the process parameters.
Such a step can increase productivity because of longer runtimes and less downtime due to column repacking.
For new processes, the full scalability from analytical to preparative scale is an important advantage.
The 3um, 10um and 15um particles are all produced by the same process adapted from flow reaction technology.
This technology warrants full scalability from analytical to preparative level and improves lot-to-lot reproducibility even further, according to YMC.
YMC Triart multilayered hybrid stationary phases are available in C8 and C18 modifications.
Particle sizes for bulk material are 10um and 15um with pore sizes of 12nm and 20nm.
Additional materials based to client specification are available upon request.
