The Minivap from Porvair is designed to enable researchers to remove the traditional laboratory 'bottleneck' of solvent evaporation from microplates prior to analysis or reconstitution in buffer.
It incorporates advanced evaporator head technology and a manifold design that directly injects heated nitrogen into each well of a 96-well microplate simultaneously.
Porvair said the Minivap is an ideal tool for laboratories where smaller numbers of individual plates need drying.
Compact in design, the Minivap will fit into any standard fume cupboard.
It is said to be simple to install, operate and maintain.
Installation simply requires connection to a gas supply and standard mains socket.
The unit carries the CE mark and has been designed to accommodate any SBS/ANSI 96-well microplate.
