HEL's HP Chemscan offers flexibility during catalyst screening for hydrogenation and gas liquid reactions.
With a working volume ranging from below 16ml to over 100ml, the platform can be used for small-scale screening and intermediate scale confirmation before scale-up.
The pressure range has been increased to 200bar and temperatures below ambient to over 200C are possible with a range of over 100C at any time.
The system is very sensitive and will record gas consumption accurately, even when the uptake is very slow - displaying the results in real time, separately for each reactor.
The software enables experimental changes to be made at any time while the unit is running.
Agitation is a key feature of the design.
Contact of powder catalyst and gas with liquid reagent is efficient, enabling kinetic-controlled reaction rates to be achieved in most cases.
