The Tintometer has introduced a portable photometer that is ideal for chlorine measurement in waste and drinking water and beverages in the laboratory and in the field.
The handheld photometer is said to be compact and easy to use, has an ergonomic, waterproof (IP68) design, and measures chlorine from 0.01-6.0mg/l.
The MD100 from Lovibond can be used to measure chlorine using both powder and/or tablet reagents with specific calibration for both reagent types.
Users no longer need to make the choice at time of instrument selection, avoiding limitation in options further along the line, or, inadvisably, using tablet reagents in a powder-specific instrument, or vice-versa.
The MD100 includes a One Time Zero (OTZ) function enabling one time calibration for multi-tests and multi-occasions and therefore saving time when taking measurements, with the backlit display clearly presenting the accurate and reproducible results every time.
The instrument provides storage for up to 16 datasets and data-logging software for the rapid transfer of data to a PC.
Measurement data can also be transmitted to one of three optional interfaces connecting to a PC, USB printer or serial printer.
A Certificate of Compliance is supplied with each MD 100 model and calibration certificates are also available on request.
The instrument may also be calibrated by the use in a 'user calibration mode' with NIST-traceable standards.
The MD 100 series is supplied complete with carrying case, glass vials and Lovibond reagents (tablet, liquid and Vario powder).
