Midsci has launched Multitherm, a flexible temperature-controlled vortexer that is said to be useful in a wide variety of research settings.
The Multitherm combines a vigorous (2mm) mixing motion (up to 1,500rev/min) with a sophisticated temperature control system that accurately maintains temperatures from 0C to 100C.
All controls are programmed on the large, backlit LCD display and can be operated independently of one another.
This allows the machine to be set solely for maintaining temperature, solely for mixing, or combined for temperature-controlled mixing.
An option for sequential programming is also available for linking stored programs together for multiple runs at different speeds and temperatures.
The machine measures 8 x 11.5in and all popular tubes and plates are compatible, including up to 35 x 1.5/2.0ml or 6 x 50ml.
