Craic Technologies, a manufacturer of UV-visible-NIR microspectrometers, has released the 64-bit version of its ImageUV imaging software package for industrial processes and scientific research.
The software is designed to collect, analyse and process images from Craic microscopes and microspectrophotometers running 64-bit versions of Windows 7.
It is said to be simple to use, yet contains many advanced digital imaging control and analysis features.
Dr Paul Martin, president at Craic Technologies, said: 'The ImageUV-64 software was developed in response to customer requests for a high-performance package to control Craic digital imaging systems and to process data.
'ImageUV-64 is designed to address both the manufacturing floor as well as those in the research and development laboratory.
'Two levels of access are provided to address both venues while maintaining many powerful analytical features,' he added.
The complete ImageUV-64 solution combines advanced 64-bit software with the hardware and optics of Craic UV-visible-NIR range microscopes.
The ImageUV-64 allows the user to control all the digital imaging systems in Craic microscopes and to acquire high-quality ultraviolet, colour and near-infrared images under any lighting conditions.
The software is then used to analyse those images.
Designed for the production environment as well as the laboratory, it incorporates a number of tools for analysing spectra.
It also incorporates two modes of operation: a production level with recipe-driven instrument control and data analysis in addition to a password-protected engineering mode for creating those recipes and for advanced research.
