Brookfield Engineering has announced that its powder flow tester (PFT) provides the quick test capability to predict industrial powder processing problems before they occur.
Significant industrial problems with powder processing include failure to discharge reliably from hopper and erratic flow in feeders, dosing machines and so on.
The design of the Brookfield PFT instrument had input from the Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology at the University of Greenwich.
It is said to have a low purchase price compared with existing instruments, as well as an easy user interface, allowing anyone to operate the instrument with minimal training.
