IN/US Systems has reported a positive response from pharmaceutical development companies and contract research organisations to the Betaram 5 radio-HPLC flow-through detector.
The company said the instrument has been designed to make the best use of the latest UPLC, rapid resolution and fast LC technology, with plumbing, mixing components and low dead-volume fittings further optimised for low flow rates to ensure optimum peak shape and definition.
It features an on-board stop-flow facility, which, in combination with Laura 4 radiochromatography software, eliminates time-consuming and costly liquid scintillation counting.
The detector also features the active counting mode, which complements UPLC, rapid resolution and fast LC systems by monitoring and adjusting run conditions in real time.
IN/US Systems said this gives better signal-to-noise ratios for low-level samples than are possible with conventional HPLC.
