Ionicon has unveiled the PTR-QMS-300 instrument, a mobile volatile organic compound (VOC) monitor targeted at the analytics and industrial process monitoring markets.
Successor to the Compact PTR-MS, the new PTR-QMS 300 is a small and lightweight PTR-MS for research or process monitoring applications with a detection limit of less than 0,3ppbv.
The low-cost PTR-QMS 300 monitor is claimed to be a user- and maintenance-friendly bench-top setup for industrial applications.
It features a touch-screen display allowing for one-button control of the system and even preconfigured analysis tasks in combination with an optional embedded industrial computer and individualised software packages.
The company provides flexible inlet solutions such as the integrated multi-position capability and the possibility to optionally upgrade the PTR-QMS 300 with multiplexing and data interface units, thus bringing down the costs per sampling point and simplifying integration in existing monitoring network infrastructure.
For research or laboratory use, the PTR-QMS 300 is available as a fully functional entry-level PTR-MS instrument, operated using the Ionicon PTR-QMS series software suite, available on an external notebook computer.
Features include a new heated ion source/reaction chamber layout, accessible from the top, and a heated inlet hose, which can be installed at multiple positions.
Optional features include an embedded industrial PC, an individually tailored software package, multiplexing units, data interfaces (AO/AI, DO/DI) and switchable reagent ions.
