The Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA) is offering the Smart-Savers Discount Program for participants of the Lab Automation 2011 conference and exhibition.
Lab Automation 2011 will take place on 29 January - 2 February 2011 at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California.
The Smart-Savers Discount Program includes: the 'Take off with us' flight discount programme, which provides USD200 (GBP126) off the first 50 airline tickets purchased by full-conference paid registrants through the official Lab Automation 2011 Travel Agent; early bird registration, which allows participants to save up to USD290 on registration by registering on or before 31 October 2010; special short course pricing, which enables short course participants to save 20 per cent on a Sunday short course by purchasing a Saturday course.
SLAS has committed USD50,000 to the Tony B Academic Travel Award Program for Lab Automation 2011 and qualifying students, graduate students, post-doctoral associates and junior faculty can author and submit an abstract for consideration.
Awards include: fully paid coach airfare (or mileage reimbursement); full conference registration and shared hotel accommodations; affordable hotel accommodations; academic registration waiver for professors who attend Lab Automation 2011 with at least two pre-registered students; and unemployed registration waiver for professionals who are unemployed as of 1 November 2010.
