Scie-Plas has launched a mini centrifuge that is ideal for micro samples and designed to meet the wide range of applications found in research laboratories.
The mini centrifuge includes three rotors: a six-place x1.5ml rotor; a PCR strip rotor; and a 1 x 3in slide rotor.
In addition, two adapters are included for 0.5-0.65ml and 0.4ml.
At 6,000rev/min/2,000g, the company said the micro centrifuge is ideal for quickly spinning down samples, micro gel filtration applications and micro-volume centrifugation.
For samples requiring low temperatures, the unit is cold-room compatible.
Fast acceleration and braking make it ideal for quick spins, according to Scie-Plas.
The mini centrifuge has a footprint of 6 x 6in (153mm) and has a safety interlock that automatically shuts off the unit when the lid is opened.
In addition, the unit is CE marked.
