Hamilton Robotics has launched the TDAM 96 multi-channel pipetting head, designed to enhance quality control in high-throughput drug discovery and pharmaceuticals.
The TDAM 96 multi-channel pipetting head features aspiration and dispense monitoring in every channel.
It is compatible with the company's Microlab Starline automated liquid handling platform and incorporates its Total Aspiration and Dispense Monitoring (TDAM) technology.
Air-pressure sensors are built into each channel, which monitor pipetting based on Hamilton's air displacement technology.
TDAM monitors the pipetting steps in real time and gives users the opportunity to immediately react to problems such as empty samples, clots or foam.
It verifies and documents with a traceable digital audit trail to confirm that a sample has been successfully transferred, which is useful in regulated environments.
