Southern Scientific has introduced two general-purpose gamma probes designed to be used with the company's Radhound digital radiation monitor.
The SS300 and SS330 are available in the range of Geiger, NaI and plastic scintillation probes.
The SS300 has an uncompensated (900V) pancake Geiger detector for beta and gamma contamination measurement, while the SS330 has a compensated pancake Geiger for dose rate measurement.
Both measure 254 x 70 x 64mm and the probes weigh 280g and 300g respectively.
Radhound, a general-purpose nuclear contamination monitor that provides the consistent and stable measurement of alpha, beta and gamma contamination, is manufactured in the UK by Southern Scientific.
