The 8th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences will take place on 21-25 August 2011 in Montreal, Canada, organised by the Canadian Council on Animal Care.
The congress brings scientists from academia, governments and industry together with experts and representatives of all major animal welfare organisations from over 50 countries to further global progress in replacement, reduction and refinement of animal use in science.
This is a biennial opportunity to share ideas and expertise about current techniques and new innovations in the field of alternatives to animal use.
Scientists who are interested in presenting their work at the contributed sessions of the congress are being invited to submit abstracts of about 250 words electronically through the official website of the congress.
The deadline for submission is 10 April 2011.
