Porvair Sciences has developed a range of filter plates for applications such as cell harvesting, DNA separation, binding studies, plasmid isolation, general filtration and sample clean-up.
Filter plates are used in their simplest form to remove particulate matter from liquid where either the particulate matter or the filtrate is required for further study.
Porvair offers filter plates in a wide choice of formats (48-, 96- and 384-well), well volumes (350 litres to 5ml) and filtration materials (glass fibre, nylon, PVDF and polyethylene).
Each well on a Porvair filter plate has an individual drainage spout, designed to ensure accurate sample transfer and zero crossover contamination.
Manufactured from ultra-pure-grade polypropylene or polystyrene, all Porvair filtration plates are optimised to minimise leachates when used with most common solvents in order to maximise filtered sample integrity.
