Biohit has unveiled the Eline pipette for labs that are struggling with small-volume pipetting and the cross-contamination problems that occur in applications such as PCR and microwell dispensing.
The Eline pipette has a range from 0.1ul to 5ul and a super-pipetting feature.
Rapid piston movement allows the complete emptying of the tip, making it possible to dispense the very small volumes from the air - something that is not possible with regular pipettes, according to Biohit.
Pipetting small volumes against the receiving-vessel wall or under the liquid surface to get all the liquid out of the tip causes a contamination risk, decreased precision and slow pipetting work.
With the Eline 0.1-5ul dispensing from the air enables continuous work with the same tip as there is no need to touch the vessel or liquid.
The Eline pipette also has a super-pipetting feature, which makes it possible to get the dispensed volume inside, for example, the microplate well when the problem is the electricity of the microplate causing the drop to stick to the surface of the well.
