Esco has introduced the EFD-G2, the second generation of the Frontier Duo fume hood, manufactured for demanding laboratory applications.
The baffle and airfoil design on the EFD-G2 have been enhanced to improve containment.
The number of provisions for service fixtures and electrical outlets has been increased, increasing the model's flexibility to cater for different customer requirements.
The fume hood is designed to provide superior containment of noxious chemical fumes at a range of face velocities while addressing worker comfort through ergonomic design.
Its gentle pitch of the hood face enhances visibility and enables users to work further into the hood without strain.
It also features an angled front.
The hood lighting is pre-wired and lighting is electronically ballasted, energy efficient and starts immediately.
Its colour temperature is tuned to provide a gentle, bright and comfortable work environment.
Frontier Duo fume hoods are independently tested and certified by Invent, UK, to meet ANSI/ASHRAE 110-1995 standard requirements.
Hoods are also ASHRAE tested on the production line on a sampling basis and the sash is clearly labelled with all operating instructions and illustrations.
Esco also offers a range of options and accessories to meet users' application requirements.
These include: fully configurable optional Esco Sentinel; additional service fixtures and electrical outlets; microprocessor control that provides a continuous display of face velocity; an alarm system that will alarm when the face velocity within the work zone falls to a low level that could compromise operator safety; optional motorised sash window for improved operator convenience; base cabinetry that is made available for additional storage in the laboratory; distillation grids; C-frame support stand with levelling feet; and ceiling closure panels.
