Zwick Vibrophores are designed to determine strength and toughness in component and structural testing involving fracture and fatigue measurements.
A Vibrophore examines samples under tensile, compression, pulsating and fatigue loads in order to provide data about the quality and integrity of pipes, bolts, rivets and welds in industries such as off-shore, engine manufacturers and construction.
Zwick Roell is now offering a Modernisation and Retrofit Technology (ZMART.PRO) package for Vibrophores.
Tailored to the individual needs of each customer, the retrofit kits are designed to efficiently upgrade fatigue testing equipment to provide improved automation and control for even higher throughput.
Standard ZMART.PRO kits include Vibrowin digital measurement and control electronics; test Xpert; testing software; and a new load cell or conversion kit for your existing load cell.
Where required, the basic package also includes a conversion kit for additional components such as an extensometer, and a new static and/or dynamic drive.
A typical application for the Vibrophore is in the fatigue testing of engine components.
The ever-increasing loads on internal combustion engines mean that fracture mechanics and fatigue tests on components are essential.
With testing frequencies of up to 300Hz the Zwick Vibrophore ensures that test times are short and specimen throughput is high, making them ideal for QA testing of engine components such as crankshafts, connecting rods, bolts and screws from production lines.
Zwick understands the need for optimum testing efficiency to ensure efficient production timelines can be maintained.
With the ZMART.PRO packages, Zwick continues to revisit and upgrade legacy equipment, so customers can be confident that any investment in Zwick Roell technology is an investment in the long-term.
