Metrohm has introduced the QuickTOCpharma system for the detection of total organic carbon (TOC) in pharmaceutical water
The company claims the tool is particularity suited for “Highly Purified Water” (HPW) and “Water for Injection” (WFI).
The accuracy of the measuring results are achieved using the group’s patented LAR high temperature method (1,200degC).
According to its applications for HPW and WFI, the QuickTOCpharma system is optimised for measuring ranges of 500 ppb.
Measuring ranges of up to 2,000 ppb can also be achieved.
Other features include a closed system to prevent contamination, response times of three minutes, infrared detection and low operational costs.
