Grant Instruments has launched 12 new life science products to complement its Grant-bio range.
The new range of laboratory equipment, designed for sample preparation and molecular diagnostics, claims to offer multi-functionality, ease of use, reliability, low energy consumption and excellent value for money.
The Grant-bio centrifuge collection is expanded with the addition of three new bench-top models: a large refrigerated centrifuge capable of controlling temperature between -10°C to 25°C, the LMC-4200R, a small vortex mixer/centrifuge with maximum speed of 6000rpm, the PCV-6000 and a high-speed mini centrifuge, with maximum speed of 14,500rpm, the Microspin 12.
Brand new to the range is a compact aspirator with a 1L trap flask, the FTA-1. The FTA-1 operates independently from an in-line lab vacuum supply, making it an ideal personal tool for DNA/RNA purification and precipitation techniques.
For those looking for dry block heating systems, Grant has extended its product range by introducing three new dry block heaters: the DB-10C for cuvettes, the DB-4S for 0.2ml tubes and strips, and the PCH-3 for 2ml tubes. The PCH-3 offers excellent temperature stability and control in the range of 30°C below ambient to 100°C.
Other new introductions include a battery operated densitometer for cell suspension turbidity measurements, the DEN-1B, an orbital shaker-incubator ES-80 for mixing and incubation of samples, a mini vertical rotator, the PTR-25, an adjustable angle and speed platform rocker, the PMR-100 and a new PCR UV cabinet, the UVT-B-AR.
