Experts from Malvern Instruments will exhibit at the PEGS essential protein engineering summit.
Dr Kevin Mattison, principal scientist at Malvern Instruments, will present a paper entitled ‘Avoiding aggregation and viscosity challenges – Early development formulation screening’ whilst also lending instruction on Malvern’s short course: How to obtain reliable information from light scattering.
The short course seeks to examine which key indicators assure reliable DLS and SEC-LS data quality and asks; is light scattering suitable for quality control application?
Malvern will also exhibit their Zetasizer nano ZSP which uses the technique of electrophoretic light scattering to enable measurement of zeta potential of the mobility of proteins and protein charge.
Zetasizer features overview:
- Size measurement from 0.3nm to 10 microns.
- Molecular weight measurement of 980Da.
- Microrheology option to measure viscosity and viscoelasticity.
- Sample concentrations from 0.1ppm to 40%w/v.
PEGS is being held April 29-May 3, 2013 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston.
