The NanoPlus DLS uses photon correlation spectroscopy and electrophoretic light scattering.
The instrument can measure the particle size of samples suspended in liquids in the range o f0.1 nm to 12.3 ?m, with sample suspension concentrations from 0.00001% to 40%.
The system also boasts a sensitivity for molecular weight as low as 250 Da.
The instruments’ FST technology utilises a transparent electrode to minimise path length and reduce multiple scattering effects, permitting zeta potential measurement in a concentration range of 0.001% to 40%.
The Nanoplus also has the potential to negate the effects of electro-osmosis as it can measure zeta potential at five separate locations within a cell, resulting in the determination of multi-modal distributions of zeta potential mixtures.
