The ChemWell-T chemistry analyser, with rAPID-T software from Astoria-Pacific, is an automated, compact, high-throughput chemistry analyser. It is a precise, durable and economical way of running colorimetric tests that you may currently be running manually.
The open software platform developed by Astoria-Pacific maximises the ChemWell-T’s advanced hardware and performance making it ideal for a wide range of applications in different fields, such as environmental analysis and the wine industry.
Environmental analytes easily measure orthophosphate, total phosphate, total Kjeldhal Nitrogen. phenol (post-dist.), cyanide (post-dist), ammonia, hexavalent chromium, nitrate and nitrite.
Programmable applications for wine include analytes such as ammonia, acetic acid, glucose and fructose, L-malic acid, NOPA and total sulphite.
The open system means that it is also possible for operators to adapt a system to use assay kits from other manufacturers, such as Biorad, Megazyme, Nitrate Elimination company and NZYTech.
With up to 100 tests per hour with 10mm path length cuvettes (working volume up to 500 ?l) the ChemWell-T is easy to load and unload.
The cuvettes automatically glide through the optical system for endpoint, and if required, kinetic reading (using the ChemWell Manager/Assay software). Eight strips of five cuvettes each allows for 40 reactions without intervention, while the ’pause’ function allows for cuvettes to be added during each run.
The reaction temperature is from ambient to 40oC and the multi-function probe delivers 2 ?l to 450 ?l. The probe detects the liquid surface and retracts safely if it contacts an obstacle. It also oscillates to mix and washes automatically.
As you will undoubtedly have already concluded this is not a ’cut-down’ or mini analyser, this is a fully functional PC- controlled, random access sampling system that is optimised for speed, quality, dependability and price.
With a built in reagent cooling system, temperature controlled reactions, wavelengths, 340, 420, 480, 505, 540, 570, 660, 880 or custom and full compatibility with Windows XP, Vista or 7 this is a highly refined instrument with a remarkably small footprint.
