Weighing in at just 1kg and powered by six AA batteries, the Adam QT balance really is portable, and at 145mm x 210mm x 40mm, it's small enough to fit into a brief case. The housing is of rugged ABS plastic with a stainless steel weighing pan and a sealed waterproof keypad.
A temperature range of 0 - 40?C and a removable draught shield means that the QT balances are as at home outdoors as they are in the laboratory, schools, stock room or workshop.
There are six models in the QT Series, ranging from the QT200 which, with a capacity of 200g and readability to 10mg, will satisfy the needs of scientists who need laboratory precision in the field, up to the QT5000 with a massive 5kg capacity and 1g readability.
Simplicity of use, high durability and low price mean that the QT Series will be equally attractive to industrial and educational users.
All the QT Series balanced have the features that Adam Equipment customers have come to expect: a large, easy-to-read, six digit LCD display with a backlight, pushbutton automatic calibration against an external standard mass, rapid stabilisation time (3 seconds maximum) and four selectable weighing units - grams, carets, ounces or pennyweights - to suit the application.
The automatic power-off facility maximises battery life and a low battery indicator gives ample warning when the battery does need to be changed. Alternatively, the balance can be operated from a mains power supply via the ac adapter, which is supplied as standard.
