High precision analytical and top loading balances are aimed at pharmaceutical, biotechnology and similar research laboratories where approved balances are required
Adam Equipment has expanded its range of high precision analytical and top loading balances with additional models with OIML and EC approval.
The AEA analytical balances have readability down to 0.01mg and are aimed at pharmaceutical, biotechnology and similar research laboratories where approved balances are required.
The same technology is used in the AEP top loading balances.
Both models have numerous applications not only in laboratories but also in the industrial area where precision weighing is needed.
An easy to use keypad gives access to a wide range of operating modes in addition to weighing such as statistical information, check-weighing, parts counting using a sample or preset weight, filling against a bar graph display, an animal weighing filter and density determination with an optional density determination kit.
The features can be individually enabled or disabled, allowing the working menu to be customised to meet individual user requirements.
The large, clear graphical display guides the user through the set up and operating procedures and a bar graph shows, at a glance, how much of the balance's weighing capacity has been used.
While the balances are truly stand-alone units, the compact size means that text inputs are most easily handled by an external keyboard, and there is a DIN socket to take a standard PC keyboard.
The balances will print out full GLP documentation, in the user's selected format, either directly to a printer or, via the RS232 port, as an output file to a PC.
Software is available to interface with standard applications like Excel, so that data can be easily imported into reports.
The balances can be controlled remotely from a PC, which can also store the customised menu set up, or from an optional remote keypad for special applications.
The automatic motorised calibration cannot be disrupted by the user and includes a function to recalibrate the balance every four hours or whenever there is a temperature change.
