Mini automatic dewpoint hygrometer fits in the hand for toteability, but makes no compromises in its total capability
The latest SADP mini automatic dewpoint hygrometer from Alpha Moisture Systems is expected to set new industry standards for equipment of this type.
Weighing less than 1.2kg, this innovative, compact unit is truly portable and has been designed to fit neatly in the hand.
Powerful microelectronics also provide automatic calibration with on-board logging for the capture and display of up to 8000 data points, with 20 user definable TAG references.
Password protection is provided for maximum security of all data.
Designed for the measurement of trace moisture in gasses and dry compressed air, the units have applications in: the power utilities; natural gas exploration and production, air treatment plants; processing of chemical and pharmaceutical products; general engineering, electrical and electronic industries together with both plastics and metal manufacture and a wide range of research and laboratory projects.
The robust, ergonomically designed housing incorporates the moisture sensor, signal conditioning circuitry, memory management, 128x64 dot graphics display, five key membrane keyboard plus on-board rechargeable lithium ion battery.
This self-contained digital unit is user-friendly and eliminates the problems experienced by operators and technicians with the bulky size, weight and even analogue readouts associated with the previous generation of traditional dewpoint meters.
The ultra high capacitance aluminium oxide sensor is housed in a desiccant dry-down chamber to ensure immediate readiness for operation.
Selectable moisture and pressure units are available to cover a -110 to +20C dewpoint (or equivalent) measuring range, at atmospheric pressure, with pressure compensated dewpoint values automatically calculated where required.
User selectable units for display include C, degF, ppm(v), ppm(w), ppb, g/m3 and lb/MMSCF.
Graphical representation of all logged data can also be selected for display.
Meters can be battery or mains powered, with over 250 hours continuous operation from a single recharge.
Auto shut-down, with battery life icon is also incorporated for maximum effective battery life.
All units are supplied as standard with battery charger, connection fittings, a 2 metre length of PTFE sample pipe, together with instruction manual and calibration certification traceable to NPL.
Optional features include: carrying case, 4-20mA loop powered output and RS485 serial communication.
Development work is also in hand for the production of an intrinsically safe model for use in hazardous conditions.
