Asinex is performing optimisation of a hit compound provided by Asahi Kasei at its facilities in Moscow. Several rounds of synthesis have already been successfully completed, and options for further optimisation are being explored.
Hiroyuki Kouji, general manager, laboratory for medicinal chemistry, Asahi Kasei said, "This collaboration with Asinex has been a significant benefit to our research efforts at Asahi Kasei.
"Through our collaboration we were able to identify a number of new lead compounds of therapeutic interest in a short period of time.
