Beckman Coulter announces the new RapidVUE image analysis system, determining particle shape as well as size and able to analyse fibres, powders, and crystals
The Particle Characterisation Group of Beckman Coulter announces the new RapidVUE image analysis system.
The RapidVUE analyses particle shape in addition to size, for more complete characterisation.
Featuring unique telecentric optics, the system provides a larger depth of field for more accurate, discriminate analysis by eliminating the need to focus.
Using this optical technology allows more particles per frame to be analysed, so giving improved statistical data.
Available with aqueous and organic liquid module options, RapidVUE is ideal for the analysis of a wide range of samples including fibres, powders, and crystals.
Another unique feature of the RapidVUE is the recirculation of sample.
Because multiple images of the same sample are captured, the system statistically reduces the chance of missing large, infrequently-occurring particles.
Recirculation also reduces analysis time to an average of less than 20 seconds, compared to five minutes for comparable instruments.
