Beckman Coulter Life Sciences has produced an application note announcing the arrival of their LS 13 320 XR Particle Size Analyser, which uses laser diffraction and PIDS technology to achieve state-of-the-art high-resolution measurements and an
expanded dynamic range.
The LS 13 320 XR Particle Size Analyser from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is introduced in a new application note from the company that details many of the significant advances and features of this new instrument.
Importantly, it explains how laser diffraction, plus advanced Polarisation Intensity
Differential Scattering (PIDS) technology, can produce high-resolution measurement and reporting of real data over the 10nm – 3,500 µm range, while also improving peak discrimination.
The extreme measurement capability of both the ULM and DPS (Tornado) modules is illustrated and the importance of ADAPT (Automatic Distribution Analysing Particle
Technology) software, which contains a QA/QC statistics analysis tool to quickly and visually distinguish a pass/fail result, yet still with the sophistication necessary for R&D, is highlighted.
The application note can be downloaded from this page. A video covering this significant addition to modern particle analysis is also available to view. The LS 13 320 XR is sold in the UK by Meritics at http://www.meritics.com
