Beckman Coulter introduces the new F12x8.2 PCR tube strip rotor for the Microfuge 22R microcentrifuge, providing high capacity and high power for DNA applications
This new rotor minimises condensation from PCR reactions by providing quick spins and can be utilised for post reaction cleanup.
The F12x8.2 PCR strip rotor can accommodate up to 12 strips of eight 200µl tubes at a maximum of 20,800g.
The rotor features an aerosol-tight lid and is autoclavable at 121C. "As more and more DNA work is being performed, there is a growing need for higher throughput centrifugation of PCR tubes," explains Barbara Keeler, strategic market manager for Beckman Coulter.
"We are pleased to be able to offer twice the capacity and twice the g-force of other available rotors."
