Surface area analyser has improved automation through incorporation of dewar lift, improved measurement sequences, and a transducer for higher speed and accuracy
Beckman Coulter responds to industry trends toward laboratory automation with the Beckman Coulter SA3100 with dewar lift that enhances the walk-away operation, ease of use, and sample throughput of surface area and pore size measurements.
The compact SA3100 has been specifically designed to satisfy the needs of a wide range of QC laboratories, but will meet the requirements of many R&D facilities as well.
The dewar lift automatically raises and lowers the cryogenic bath during the measurement sequence such that the operator simply has to load the outgassed sample, fill the dewar, and press the start key. The results will then be available with no other operator action required except for removing the sample tube in preparation for the next measurement.
With the introduction of the dewar lift comes improved measurement sequences.
These improvements significantly increase the throughput of the SA3100, making it faster than ever before, without any loss in result quality.
Also new for the SA3100 is a transducer, which allows for higher speed and accuracy.
Measurements can be calculated more quickly for single and multi-point BET and Langmuir surface area analysis as well as BJH pore size distributions with typical reproducibility <2% CV.
The SA3100 is further enhanced with an available six port out-gas station for even more increased throughput.
