Bio-Tek and TekCel have agreed to co-market the TekBench liquid handling platform with the ELx405 microplate washer, µFill reagent dispenser and PowerWave HT microplate spectrophotometer, offering customers a fully automated Elisa assay solution that increases their throughput to hundreds of 384-well microplates per day.
"Elisas (enzyme linked immunosorbant assays) require a series of liquid additions, washes and incubations prior to detection, making current automation approaches challenging and time consuming," said Chris McNary, TekCel's president and CEO.
"Bio-Tek's flexible, reliable and easy to set up products make them an excellent choice for seamless integration with the TekBench platform to perform a wide variety of fully automated Elisa assays.
"Our combined assay solution provides true walk - away automation to support 24/7 processing.
"A broad range of assays can be performed without hardware changes, minimising manual intervention, which can ultimately affect the data quality. "This fully automated solution allows researchers to focus less on the ELISA process and more on analyzing the results".
Jean Andre de Bedout, contract sales manager for Bio-Tek, said "In today's laboratory, size, speed and performance are critical factors in the automation of processes. "TekCel's TekBench, with Bio-Tek components, provides an ideal automation solution that is designed to be small, rugged and reliable.
"Bio-Tek's components have been designed with space constraints in mind as well as the robustness, dependability and support that have been a part of our instrumentation for over 20 years."
