Developed for use in monitoring marine environmental sensors in remote locations both on and off shore, the DAB board has a very low current (100µA) deep sleep mode, with automatic wake-up driven by its own real time clock. Small size and low power requirement make the unit applicable to solar powered remote stations, or to small submersible or towed battery operated sensor modules.
Based on the Intel 80188 micro, the capabilities include 10 high speed serial ports, 64MB of memory, PCMCIA expansion, 32x16 bit analogue and 32 digital inputs, and it is flash firmware upgradable.
