Affordable infrared camera designed for harsh industrial environments offers IP54 standard protection against the ingress of rain and humidity
Cedip Infrared Systems, a world-class supplier of IR imaging systems, has announced the launch of a new affordable infrared camera designed for harsh industrial environments.
Packaged in a sealed unit the robust Jade UC offers IP54 standard protection against the ingress of rain and humidity.
This makes it the perfect IR camera for automation and machine vision applications including paper production, glass inspection, food processing and plastics manufacturing.
All camera features may be remotely controlled through USB 2.0, Camlink, or RS232C standard protocols enabling the Jade UC to easily interface and operate with PCs and third party frame grabbers.
The high level programming language used to program the Jade UC allows the camera to be easily integrated into production lines.
Operating with Cedip's intuitive Altair software the camera provides comprehensive real time image acquisition, post processing and reporting capabilities.
Benefiting from a sensitive microbolometer focal plane array sensor the Jade UC infrared camera is able to offer high sensitivity, low response time and good image resolution at a truly low price.
Using a focal plane sensor of 320x240 pixels, operating in the 8-12 micron waveband, the Jade UC camera offers best-of-class performance with thermal sensitivity of less than 80mk and a thermal response time of less than 4ms.
Operating at up to 100 frames per second at full image, with output digitised over a complete 14-bits dynamic range the Jade UC provides the resolution to detect even the smallest area of defect or non-uniformity.
To extend the applications utility of the system a complete range of lenses are available.
