Cambridge BioScience has introduced a new range of promoterless vectors for monitoring gene expression in vivo.
Developed by Evrogen, these reporters encode fluorescent proteins of different colours for simultaneous detection of gene expression from distinct promoters.
The Evrogen range of fluorescent proteins includes JRed for 610 nm true red fluorescence, TurboGFP for rapid green fluorescence with earlier detection, and PhiYFP-m for a brighter yellow.
Destabilised versions are also available with a rapid turnover rate which allows accurate assessment of promoter activity.
The vectors encode synthetic versions of fluorescent proteins with humanised codon usage, making them optimal for high expression in mammalian cells, says Cambridge BioScience.
