3D fluorescence imaging taken to a new dimension with software to enable viewing in time, opening up new insights into biological functions and interrelations
Carl Zeiss MicroImaging has introduced the AxioVision Inside 4D versatile microscopy software for viewing correctly scaled 3D fluorescence images in time dimension, using traditional fluorescence microscopes.
This opens up new insights into biological functions and interrelations for scientists in biomedical research.
Four implemented projection methods - shadow, transparency, surface and maximum projection - ensure high flexibility during interactive microscopic examinations. Versatile image processing is also available to the user.
For example, the zoom factor can be freely selected to allow the user to zoom in on structures and see them from the inside ('Inside4D').
In addition, image animations such as continuous rotation in space, processing into image series for AVI film export, and flexible display settings can be easily performed by the software.
AxioVision now offers a complete array of image analysis software from correct image recording and enhancement using 3D Deconvolusion, to the animated display of the object with Inside4D.
All software packages are user friendly and allow easy setting and maintenance of all major parameters. Such software integration was not previously available from a single source, and required three different programs as well as different computer platforms for image recording, 3D deconvolution, and rendering.
AxioVision Inside4D complements a broad variety of imaging software now available from Carl Zeiss. These include AxioVision 3D Deconvolution, the Cell Observer system or the Axioplan 2FS observation of neuronal cells and tissues.
