Delong Instruments has unveiled the LVEM5, introducing what it says is a new breed of Electron Microscope.
The LVEM5's unique architecture yields the following advantages: * Enhanced contrast in TEM imaging - without staining.
* Drastic reduction in instrument size - the desktop LVEM5 is the world's smallest TEM, more than 90% smaller than conventional TEMs.
* Multiple imaging modes- in addition to TEM, the LVEM5 can provide STEM, SEM imaging and Electron Diffraction.
* Simplified sample preparation techniques - staining and shadowing are eliminated as a prerequisite to imaging.
* Ease of use - the LVEM5 bypasses operational complexities without compromising functionality.
* Low cost - in addition to being physically smaller, the LVEM5 is a fraction of the cost of a conventional TEM.
* Exceptionally convenient - minimal maintenance, no dark room requirement, no cooling water and easy servicing.
The system comes equipped with a 1300 x 1030 pixel slow scan CCD camera for image capture and ProDIA Image Processing Software for image acquisition, documentation, archiving and high performance image data analysis.
