Hitachi Scientific Instruments announces a major upgrade to its FL Solutions control software for F-2500 and F-4500 rapid scanning fluorescence spectrophotometers
A major upgrade to Hitachi Scientific Instruments' FL Solutions control software makes it now available for both the F-2500 and F-4500 rapid scanning fluorescence spectrophotometers. This integrated software platform automatically recognises the instrument type and provides exceptional flexibility of use. Custom designed tool buttons are provided on toolbars for photometry, wavelength scanning, time scanning, data processing and instrument monitoring.
Simple controls take the user through setting of the analytical conditions, sample id and comment, automatic prescan scale adjustment, measurement and data processing.
Users of the F-4500 will particularly benefit from the ease of display of data acquired during 3-D scanning experiments, with simultaneous display of contour maps and excitation and emission spectra from any position on the scan. Traditional contour maps can also be displayed alongside a 'bird's eye' view of the contour, showing the peaks and valleys.
Another new feature allows arithmetic subtraction of contour maps from different samples to allow differences to be displayed.
Additional quantitative analysis, data processing and display/print functions have also been added. These include specified wavelength calculation, peak height, peak area and peak ratio calculations and differentiation.
3-D measurement data can also be used for spectral calculations.
The new version is also fully compatible with Hitachi's optional 'Report Generator' software to allow simple production of customised reports.
