UK southern region entrepreneur of the year award for technology and communication goes to founder of company supplying data management software to pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
In the Entrepreneur of the Year awards, Neil Kipling, chairman and CEO of IDBS, has won the UK Southern Region award for Technology and Communication.
Neil Kipling founded IDBS in 1989 and has built the company into a leading provider of data management software for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
IDBS is headquartered on the Surrey Research Park in Guildford and its customers include nine of the world's top ten large pharmaceutical companies.
The Entrepreneur Of The Year award, founded and produced by Ernst and Young, is a regional, national and international annual award programme that identifies and recognises the achievements of outstanding entrepreneurs within successful, growing and dynamic businesses.
The awards are co-sponsored by the Times, the London Stock Exchange and UBS Private Banking.
Neil Kipling's award was presented at a ceremony at the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow on Wednesday 25 June. As a regional winner, Neil goes forward to the national final. "It is a great honour to receive this award - not just for myself, but for the whole team at IDBS," commented Neil Kipling.
