Lancer was recently awarded the contract to supply the Nuffield Hospitals throughout UK with washer-disinfectors for the decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment used in operating theatres.
The contract involves more than 50 of the new Lancer Hospitalia machines and accessories.
Nuffield Hospitals is one of the largest independent hospital networks in the country - with 43 hospitals and rising.
Offering all types of surgery from acute to cosmetic as well as outpatient services, it serves over 700,000 patients per year as a not-for-profit organisation.
This latest range of washer-disinfectors from Lancer has been developed specifically to comply with the forthcoming European standard EN ISO 15883 (which encompasses HTM2030 current UK guidelines on decontamination) and, of course, to provide high-performance reprocessing of surgical instruments and endoscopes.
Clever use of the internal chamber space and the spray arm design ensures that the powerful washing action is effective in all parts of the load.
A choice of model sizes is available together with hinged or vertical door and double door passthrough options which are built in a wall to separate the soiled/loading area from the clean/sterile/unloading side.
Lancer says one of its particular strengths is the technical support available from its team of nationwide service engineers, all of whom are qualified.
