The latest addition to the Ilmvac range of laboratory pumps is perfect for aspirating biological supernatants from vessels in Class II cabinets
The new Biovac 102 is the latest addition to the Ilmvac range of laboratory pumps and is available through Jencons-PLS in the UK. The Biovac 102 consists of a portable, compact and robust case providing protection for a chemically resistant diaphragm pump and a 2 litre autoclavable glass catch-pot.
All wetted parts can be sterilised with Virkon, making the Biovac 102 perfect for aspirating biological supernatants from vessels in Class II cabinets.
In addition to chemical sterilisation with Virkon, the catch-pot, quick release bayonet connectors and tubing are all autoclavable at 121C.
The catch-pot, which automatically isolates when full, features a lid with a 0.22um biological filter and hose connections via quick fit coupling and bi-directional shut-off valves.
The integrated diaphragm pump can be operated by hand or via a foot switch, which makes it ideal for placing under a Class II cabinet or bench.
A range of pipettes and nozzles can be used, connecting to the hand piece via the multi option pipette carrier.
