He has a substantial body of published research in the fields of rheology, dynamic mechanical analysis and thermal analysis. Author of the book Analytical Polymer Rheology, his particular area of research is the relationship between the structure and processing properties of plastics and coatings.
For several years he taught in the area of plastics technology and currently delivers courses in applied rheology at Pittcon, Kent State and MIT.
He has recently been made a fellow of the Society of Plastics Engineers in recognition of his contributions in this field.
