Metrohm says its Vesuv 3.0 software package helps laboratories to meet the growing requirements, for audit and QC purposes, to verify data integrity and history
GLP and other guidelines oblige the user to fully document their analytical results.
A software program is required which collects and archives all measurement values and results obtained in the laboratory.
Whether pH meter, conductometer, titrator, or a wide range of analytical instrumentation if connected to the PC and the data sent directly to it for backup and archiving.
Vesuv 3.0 for Windows receives specific reports from the individual analytical instruments independently.
These are analysed by the program and filtered data entered in an appropriate database.
A balance connected to the PC is managed like a stand alone analytical instrument and can be assigned to each titrator by a mouse click.
The user can transfer titration curves via the windows clipboard to other programs, such as word processor or spreadsheet.
The collected and archived data can be exported in all standard formats to other drives or via the RS-232C interface to a different computer.
With the GLP monitoring functions, the user can be reminded of the need for a calibration, a GLP test or a pending instrument service after a pre-set time interval has elapsed, or on a particular date.
