System is designed to produce optimum ultrapure water quality for general laboratory applications, such as final glassware rinsing in elemental analysis and the preparation of buffers
The Milli-Q academic system is designed to produce optimum ultrapure water quality for general laboratory applications, such as final glassware rinsing in elemental analysis (down to 1ppb) and the preparation of non-critical buffer solutions.
Milli-Q employs a combination of purification technologies, tailored to feedwater and application requirements.
The Q-Gard pretreatment cartridge optimises the performance of downstream purification media, while the Quantum application-specific cartridge removes ionic and organic contaminants down to trace levels.
Final purification is provided by a 0.22µm Millipak absolute final filter at the point of use.
Milli-Q incorporates modern built-in water quality monitoring technology to ensure product water quality.
A high-precision, in-line resistivity meter (temperature-compensated or not), and built-in A10 total organic carbon (TOC) monitor, combined with an indicator on the point of use dispenser shows the user that the product water is within specifications.
The new backlit display for viewing system information and the ergonomically-designed point-of-use dispenser allow maximum ease-of-use.
A new feature is the Explore Data software, which allows recording and retrieval of data stored in the system memory through a computer, via an RS232 interface. Data can be displayed as either graphs or tables and all reports delivered by the system include the date and time from the system's built-in real-time clock for better GLP compliance. Available in compact bench-top, wall-mounted or underbench options, the Milli-Q academic ultrapure water system has been designed to fit all laboratory space restrictions.
