Digital temperature sensor measures only 8x2x2m, making it ideal for space-sensitive applications where other standard digital sensors cannot be used
The SMT160-30-HEC digital temperature sensor measures only 8x2x2m, making it ideal for space-sensitive applications where other standard digital sensors cannot be used.
The SMT160-30-HEC has a single wire digital PWM output that varies relative to the ambient temperature.
The sensor is pre-calibrated during the manufacture and requires no external components.
The Smartec temperature sensors are also available in T0-18, T092, T0-220 and SO8L package.
The SMT160-30-18 has an accuracy of 0.7C between -30C and +100C and 1.2C between -45 and -130C.
The output is linear within 0.2 C.
Supply voltage is +5V with a max supply current of 200uA, making this well suited for low power application.
MMS-e, the UK distributor for Smartec, has low cost temperature acquisition boards with RS232 ports available to allow engineers immediately readings of the sensors.
