Eppendorf signs distribution agreement with Nikon UK to sell micromanipulators and injectors as well as cell technology instruments and accessories
Eppendorf UK has appointed Nikon UK Instruments as official distributor of its high precision micro-manipulators and micro-injector systems.
The agreement will also enable scientists to order all Eppendorf cell technology instruments and accessories direct from Nikon UK Instruments.
The wide range of Eppendorf electronic micromanipulators is totally new with products now available through Nikon Instruments including the Injectman NI2 for adherant cell injection, the TransferMan NK2 for suspension cell injection such as ICSI - intra cellular spermatazoa injection - and the Patchman NP2 which is especially designed for electrophysiological applications.
Nikon will also act as distributor for Eppendorf's manual microinjectors range which includes the CellTram Air, CellTram Oil and CellTram Vario for pressure control, manual microinjection and liquid dispensing - all of which have been designed with special emphasis on optimal ergonomics and the FemtoJet, an automated microinjector for injecting aqueous solutions into adherent and suspension cells.
"This new agreement with Eppendorf has enabled Nikon Instruments to further expand its portfolio of products.
"Nikon already distributes manual micromanipulators designed for use in electro physiology on behalf of Narishige, the addition of Eppendorf's high precision range of manipulators puts the company closer to delivering a complete solution to all microscopists, " commented Chay Keogh, group marketing leader, Nikon UK Instruments.
"Nikon UK was an obvious partner for this product, the industry links and knowledge that Nikon instruments has will open up new markets for Eppendorf", Commented Rowan Maulder, sales and marketing manager, Eppendorf UK.
