Mirror pairs for interferometric applications in spectroscopy, telecommunications and remote sensing can be supplied with ring or optically contacted spacers
Using proprietary manufacturing techniques in a thermally stable production environment has enabled Optical Surfaces to establish itself as a leading supplier of ultra-high precision Fabry-Perot etalons for interferometric applications in spectroscopy, telecommunications and remote sensing.
The essential component of many advanced interferometric techniques is a pair of precisely matched optical flats coated to give high resolution and throughput in the spectral range of interest.
Optical Surfaces can supply matched pairs up to 150mm in diameter with matching accuracies to lambda/300.
The mirror pairs, which can be supplied with ring or with optically contacted spacers, are typically coated to maximise throughput in the spectral region of interest. Etalons are supplied with wedge angles of 5min of arc for smaller diameters, rising in steps to a wedge angle of 40min of arc for diameters greater than 70mm.
Available as standard in materials including UV grade silica and germanium, Optical Surfaces's Fabry-Perot etalons have been supplied to some of the world's leading research institutes and also form an essential OEM component for a growing number of interferometer manufacturers.
Production approved to ISO 9001-2000 and with all optics interferometrically tested before shipping, the quality of Fabry-Perot etalons from Optical Surfaces is assured.
