Faster version achieves 75fps at full 1024x1024 resolution with stop action ability by using a global shutter unusual in CMOS camera technology
Firstsight Vision announces the third member of the Dalstar stop action series of high performance area scan cameras.
The 1M75-SA is a faster version of the already available 1M28-SA, achieving up to 75fps as opposed to the 27fps of the 1M28.
Stop action refers to the camera's ability to integrate each pixel for the same amount of time at the same time by using a global shutter unusual in CMOS camera technology and essential for machine vision.
This is combined with Linlog technology, which enables configuration of the sensitivity to be part linear and part logarithmic, delivering over 120 dB of intra-scene dynamic range.
The combination makes the 1M75 ideally suited to handling traffic management, industrial metrology and welding applications.
The 1M75 uses the base configuration of CameraLink providing two data channels of eight bits each running at 40MHz. Also, by using windowing, the frame rate can exceed 100,000 fps for example, at a size of 512x512, (one-quarter the 1024x1024 size) the camera can achieve speeds of 287 fps.
Key features: 75 frames per second at full resolution (1024x1024); stop action - global (non-rolling) shutter essential for machine vision; Linlog - achieves up to 120dB on intra-scene dynamic range; windowing - achieves over 100,000 frames per second at smaller resolutions.
