Chinese-language interface added gas chromatography instruments to simplify operations from sample handling through data analysis
PerkinElmer's Clarus gas chromatograph (GC) and TurboMatrix headspace and thermal desorption systems are now available with a Chinese-language touch-screen interface.
For labs in China and other regions staffed by native speakers of Chinese, the new interface combines Chinese-language menus and intuitive icon-driven sample handling operations, providing ease-of-use and enhancing productivity.
Chinese is the eighth native-language interface to be added to the Clarus and TurboMatrix product lines.
Other supported languages are English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Japanese.
The design of the PerkinElmer instrument interface and supporting software and firmware are uniquely suited to rapid development of additional local language interfaces.
"PerkinElmer is committed to further simplifying the operation of our instruments and the addition of a Chinese-language interface is important for our customers", said Jonathan Rennert, vice president and general manager, environmental and chemical business at PerkinElmer.
"Extending local-language support across both sample handling and instrument operation will allow users to concentrate on what matters most - results".
Lin Li, Asian business development manager, environmental and chemical business at PerkinElmer, added: "China is growing quickly and labs are expanding to meet the needs of industry and government. "Our addition of Chinese-language support will speed adoption of our integrated GC solutions throughout China and other countries that employ Chinese scientists and technicians."
